Seriously, where did all the old time Rig Talkers go?

I think in the beginning there were a lot more people who knew each other, a lot of gigging musicians who came over from HC and wanted to talk gear. Now, I think it's turned into more of a TGP type place where there are just a lot more "gotta have it" collectors and people just wanting to jump on anything new and hot to say they had it first. Nothing wrong with that, every niche that people consider a hobby has those people.

I have noticed I haven't had to drive to burger king to pick up gear in awhile.

just been on and off over the couple years and in various states of gear whore-dom.
I've been more of a lurker recently, but back in the good old days I was in the top 10 posters for quite a while.

i pop in every now and then. Its several reasons i think that theres less of the old crew..

I know at least several of the following apply to me:

1. Not enough time
2. Fading of the lustre, mystery and intrigue of clip making. Who remembers the unchained clip making sagas...now any muppet can test case their krank brutalator through an iphone.
3. Less of the old crew posting themselves...lets face it, some of us have been here for over 10 years, this was as much of a shooting the shit/piss taking venture as genuine gear discussion - which was very much there too.
4. Less cash available perhaps
