Serve up some double PAF cream (suggestions)

I've got an LP copy that plays like butter with 36 anniversary neck ( awesome) and bridge. Bridge isn't doing it for me, too piercing in the highs. ( i have mentioned this before) There are a million options but i want double cream something in the ballpark of a custom sh-5 which i am really starting to dig. I just think cream pops on a nice LP. Hit me with some options. Super D i feel is a bit too thick for me when I had it in this guitar so that's out. I wonder if a dimarzio Super 2 or 3 would be the ticket?

I was looking at those last night and couldn't understand if they were discontinued but if you are telling me they are back, I think they might be what I want as they are described as a bit beefier than the 36

Dimarzio Norton (NOT Air) is badass as long as it isn’t an overly bright guitar. Wagner Godwood works in any guitar, but it is twice the $.

Well, the SH-5, Super 2, and Super 3 are not remotely close to real PAF’s. If you want warm sizzle but with exceptional clarity under gain, then I highly recommend a 5% overwind Manlius Landmark. That pup stopped my endless search for my R9. A distant 2nd would be a Brandonwound 59’ clone.

I haven’t used the Virtual Hot PAF in probably 10 years but this guy did a pretty thorough review of it a few years ago with some comparisons to the 36th PAF

I went through this a while ago with one of my LPs. The Norton would probably be the closest from Dimarzio, but not as tight as the Custom, didn't keep mine for long. A ceramic magnet swap for one of the Norton magnets might work too. I feel like a lot of their "Medium Power" pickups get overlooked but haven't tried many. There's also the Super PAF Ceramic which is like a very slightly altered Super Distortion. maybe not as thick?
