Most people who are into them think that "Home" and "Animosity" (that one has Angel's Son) are their best. I like most of their albums even the ones like "Seasons "that some dont think are that good. IMHO its just because the choruses on the later stuff arent all riffed out so Lajon can really use his vocal skills and sing. I also liked the last two "Next" and "Alpha". Anyway, Lajon Witherspoon is an awsome vocalist IMHO and I think their riffs are very cool and creative.

I love these guys. Good to see Clint's back. Next and Alpha were kinda sub-par, and to be honest, Chapter 7, while being different and cool to listen to, isn't that great of an album.

And I'd say a good starting point is Animosity, though you can't go wrong with the self-titled or Home.

All IMHO, of course. This is by far one of my favorite bands.

Home and Animosity as mentioned before. I just like the way they groove, and they pull it off awesome live! Lajon is awesome - I'd love to have him be the frontman in my band for sure! Probably some of only "current metal" genre vocalists I can stand to listen to. No screaming out of his bunghole growling

Yes Im so tired of that vocal style. And Lajon does none of that high pitched, helium inhaling, nuts in a vice screaming like some another metal singers

I haven't really listened to their latest stuff but Home and Animosity are great albums. Since Clint is back in the band does that mean that Dark New Day is done? Sorry but I liked them much better.

I found them through Pandora. I know nothing about them but I do like them a lot.

Haven't done this in a long time, so, without further ado...

Faggotry.

I wasn't reallya fan and only had heard a few tunes but I got free box seats for their show at the House of Blues in Atlantic City last year. I went with several of my yuppie friends who tried to act like they enjoyed it, but I think they were horrified lol. First, they were so loud that I think they took some years off my life, second, you could have heard a pin drop between their stops in songs they were so tight. I haven't seen a band in a long time that was as tight and entertaining, I only wish I had ear protection. I'd go see them again if they come to town - they rocked.

I dunno. I spoke to "someone" a few days ago, and he had mentioned they were getting ready to play some shows soon...not sure what's up now. I really liked DnD more as well. Their new song "Goodbye" is awesome.

Edit: Not too sure if I should have said that, so I edited the name out.

really?

I hate the type of vocals in the couple of songs I've heard. Modern rock vocals in general irritate the hell out of me.

I gotta listen to some Behemoth to get correct

Different strokes i guess. FWIW, i couldn't get through 30 seconds of the link you posted, not only were the vocals pathetic but i don't hear anything remotely original about that band. Just my opinion though.

Typical hard rock vocals are as bad as those whiny scenefag ones.

Animosity is a great disc to start with. Its well rounded. Also is my favorite production of all 7D albums.

So wait a minute, Clint's back?!? WTF happened here? I'm way outta the loop. I've been waiting for the DnD album since I first heard "Fist From The Sky". I stopped looking for release dates cause I got tired of waiting. Was just waiting til someone else told me it was out.

WTF, I'm confused. I love both bands, sad if this is the end of DnD...yet good Clint's back. I feel all mixed up  :aww:

yea, everyone I know in the local scene is a big fan of 7D and Clint, and I've been getting calls all day like "have you heard?" and "what the fuck is going on?!" I think everyone's kinda mixed up over it.

Out of all those 90's nu-metal acts, they're one of the only ones dig.

Well I loved the 1st album and Home but I thought Seasons was brilliant. Should have put them over the top...after that album I sorta lost interest in them

I know Brett Hestla is producing a shitload of bands out of Nashville so who know whats up with Dark New Day.

As said different strokes for different folks. You and Bunghole like the stuff I just can't get into   . I grew up listening to singers who sing more traditionally aka I can understand what they are saying vs power grumbling. I guess I just don't get it / can't get into bands whose singers remind me of Regan in "The Exorcist" :D , and that goth / practically walking dead look is beyond gay to me. I dunno , reminds me more of going to the Halloween fair than anything.

But if you likey - rock on
