Yes I am using a 57 on one speaker, and then a SM7 on another. The SM7 's diaphram is a little into the body since it has a grill up front, so I took time to position each mic the same distance away so there was minimal phasing. then I spent literally a few hours actually trying different mics, different positions for each mic untill I finally settled on this combination for now, set it and hope the mic stands don't droop or something cause it took quite a while to get it where I was good to just let it be for a bit.
I think these 2 mics complimented each other fine, and when combined mono, they work as well. I have each mic panned out about 60 percent, 100 percent on the lead stuff.
the guitar tracks sound great to me naked, but of course to get the track as bright and loud as others, I had to add post processing, which made the guitars a tad brighter then recorded, I think the only EQ I did on the track was roll off some of the very high end...
she is a knockout. I would never tire of those fun bags I reckon....
