Yeah I sussed them out a little while ago, I like the liveliness of the pup and the technology behind it but I just can't justify the expense, serious $$$. I've heard the alnico v's demo, curious to see what the custom shop can do to tailor a specific pup to a rig, but again..it's all fantasy dollars.

Have to be lightning years ahead of mcp, bareknuckle & other gifted winders to get me sniffing at them :yes:

Can't wait for my Unobtanium magents to come in to go with my crystal frets, tree of souls fret board, unicorn horn inlays and Rapunzel 8.5's . It's gonna be such a heady axe so stoked for the EPIC tones bruhs!

My guitars and cabinets are all wired with solid silver wire, the pickup wire is the last piece in my chain.

They sound different, better or worse is for you to decide.

Worth the cash? Again is it to YOU?

Silver IS more conductive than copper, so more of the tiny delicate guitar voltages pass through the wire. More signal to amp. End.

I've always wanted to try silver wire. Can you please go into more detail in the differences you found, in both the guitar and cab wiring ?
 
if you had 1000 feet of silver wire, yeah, it'd probably make a difference

i think the few feet we have in our guitar setups, my ears wont be able to tell the 1500$ difference.

Sure more highs are easily heard, some claim less bass but not in my experience I think the added high from less capacitance tricks their ears though haven't seen any loss spectrally. More output though not audibly noticeable or in other words extremely subtle.

The cabinet was worth it but I think next time I would use solid ofc copper played in silver rather than pure silver as it is very expensive. The guage increase seems to help the cabinets most, but the silver does add sparkle . Plated ofc in this case was 90% as good, inside the guitar the solid worked better, not surpassing as the guitar is high impedance and the speaker out is low impedance.

So I'd say def try it in a guitar, try 12 guage silver plated ofc for the cabinet AND speaker cables. To me they MUST be matched as its the same run of wire.

I've used silver in the signal path and copper in the ground path to save money on a bass recently and it also sound fine, great in fact .

Check out some resources for the electrical properties of silver also.

Nope not subjective, science sorry.

My ears can hear it as well and my measurement devices can display .

Soon my website will be up with tons of stuff to learn about guitar , silver wire will be included.

Until then do some research and learn about the metals and electrons, and above all try some some silver wire. It's not as expensive as you think.

$1500 no way. I've got about $50 in my guitar and about the same in the cabinet and speaker cables.

I use solid silver in the guitar ., silver plated copper to the amp, silver plated copper from amp to cab and cab to speaker. 12 gauge wire for that run. I like it far better than the previous ofc copper, that's me the desire to sound that way that is the subjectivity.

The FACT is it sounds different based on the conductivity of the metals. CANNOT be the same even if you're ears cannot hear it.
 
Tried them in a friend's guitar. They seem to have a very clear, almost hi-fi like high end...very sparkly and present. They made the biggest difference for clean and slightly dirty tones...didn't really bring anything beneficial to the party under medium and high gain. He sold them rather quickly.
 
For that much money, they'd better make a vagina grow on the back side of my guitar.

Not saying they aren't cool, because I simply don't know. Just that the price eliminates any need for me to find out.

i was referring to the zephyr pickups mainly, regarding 1500 feet of wire.
