It's all they think about and the only thing they value in life. AKA - money grubbers.
Or they enjoy working and making money within their hobby. I really don't understand this mentality, whats the difference between one of our beloved Mom and Pop shops and a guy making a couple of bucks selling on craigslist?
There is two things that bother me a little bit, and there is nothing I can do about it.
Guys that preach how immoral it is to flip great deals, because a guitar should be loved and appreciated by a artist who may not otherwise afford something, especially when they miss out on a great deal. Then, have no problem picking up a flip and making some cash and are to stupid to keep their mouth shut and just be happy. Hypocrite, anyone?
Guys that part out guitars that are becoming difficult to find; example being older Charvels. I see a lot of Model series guitars stripped to pieces on Ebay, again nice if you need a part, but I'd rather see those older guitars stay in one piece.
I see your point if that is what we were talking about. But the subject here is John Doe sold something to Jane for $1,000. Then Jane turned around and tried to sell it back to John for $1,700 all the while telling John how great the gear was and how good of a deal she was giving him.
I don’t think anyone is against someone making a buck otherwise.
Was there an agreement that the item had to be sold back at the original price? No, according to the OP.
Is the seller being dishonest or lying about the item. I.e. lying about damage or specs?
If the seller is just stating his opinion he can do that. Maybe in his mind he still believes it's still a good deal and it is a great piece of gear.
This entire thread is a non issue and people bitching over nothing unless I am missing some sort of fraud or deception?![]()
“Sell me a guitar for $500 and in 2 months I’ll sell it back to you for a great, awesome price because it’s the best guitar ever for only $1,200 because I like you.”
Does that help?
I see what you mean, better call the BBB, notify the press and start a thread and FB posts and dare I say it... a tweet.
Such horrid behavior, get the noose.
