Blind shoot out, the tones are VERY different. But i think both are usable.

Chain:
ESP / LTD MH-305 w/ Duncan JB
Ibanez Mini Tube Screamer
EVH 5150III 50w oe Moore 005 Pedal
Two-notes Torpedo Captor (used so that the cab and micing would be identical)
Two-notes Wall Of Sound

Can you tell which is which?

Both samples are center channel and in the same file, so you can more clearly hear the differences. Not bad for $100 pedal.

Mooer seems to kick in at 0.09s. Darker, tad more nasal. Or you just kept the presence of the EVH at 0... ;)

Good clip. Pretty close to my ears. I have the mooer 005 coming Sunday. My 5150III is getting serviced, so I didn’t have anything to play through. I hope I dig it, from your clip I have faith I will. I listened to the gas station/diezel and the Engl, but I still went with the 5050 3

Very impressive that a $100 pedal would be that close- hell of a nice backup/highly portable option. How does is sound with the built in cabinet sim?

Sounds great! I'd love to be able to record with that tone.

I had 001,005, 009, and then ge-200.

they are all great mini kemper preamps. So useful. Perfect no way, totally useable yes.

I keep it in my gig bag as a backup option if my head goes down at shows. The built in Cab sim sounds great too.

The clip stars with the 5153 and every time it swaps its the Pedal. Pretty damn impressive for $100.

I also use it as part of a "fly rig" mini rig for fly in gigs This video is with the built in cab sim.

Are the Donner Pedals really the same as the Mooer? I mean i know all these Chinese companies are all made int he same factory. But i didn't realize that the ones that "don't make the cut" get sent down to Donner. Where did you find this info?
