Get a Bogner 412 ST cab with two V30s, and two Weber 1225s?

I am usually a small cab guy, but I have never had a high end straight front 412. Any decent 412 that I have owned has been slant, and I never really dug them. I am thinking about trying a 412 again, but this time straight front to see if it is the slant 412s that I don't like.

So should I do it?? The cab is mint, but has tan tolex which I am not a big fan of, and a really light coloured grill cloth which doesn't bother me really.

So do the Bogner 412 cabs live up to the hype as one of the best 412s you can buy???

Buy it and try it! Bogner cabs are indeed some of the best you can buy... warm, woody and rich sounding. Many people don't like slant cabs, and this can be your final experiment with a 4x12. If you don't like it, sell it for the same as what you bought it for.

I think I will do it. It is selling for a fair price, so if it doesn't work out I will sell it for what I paid for it, and then find, or build a good 212.

They are great cabs. I have the slant version with V30's.

Never saw a tan tolex one though

Do it. I just got an Avatar contemporary 412 on friday, and its fucking serious!! Compared to all the damned peavey cabs Ive had.

And in all honesty, I had a butcher straight and slant 412, both with k85s, and I didnt really notice a difference between the straight and slant. However, there is a HUGE difference between those 2 and my old 6505 cabs and this avatar cab. Before, I never felt like having a 412 was worth it, but now I cant see myself ever not having a 412. I was always a 212 guy.

I should be picking it up Friday, or Saturday...I can't wait to give it a try!!!

That is the one. The price is very good that is why I got past the fact that I don't really care for the tan tolex lol. I will be picking it up either tomorrow, or Friday.

Tan tolex = rattle can spray on black..... The Uberkabs are sweet. Love mine!!!! If I get kicked out of my house for gear whoring I will live in mine.

And with the insulation in these cabs it would stay warm too lol

I was actually thinking about getting one of the covers that has a front panel that rolls up, and the rest of the cab is still covered. That is a little better for resale then the spray paint. And if I really like the cab I might just see if someone with a black Bogner cab would prefer to trade for a tan Bogner cab on craigslist.
