No, it's time we move back to rack preamps.
Sure nvm it's 2025 and it's like saying let's go back to a horse shoe vs a car in so many ways no............ or let's use candles vs a lightbulb

Fuck Peavey. I love the OG 5150, XXX and JSX, but I could care less about them after the Undercover Boss and move to China. People still would have paid whatever the price hikes would have been to continue to build in the U.S. They did it out of pure greed, and fucked their employees in the process. Dick move how they did it, and their Chinese amps are now cheap, unreliable garbage that are overpriced.

Honestly agree Peavey fucked up in sending production to China.......

I really don't even consider most of the amps they make at all anymore because of that.

They should bring some production back to the US for classic amps like the Classic 30 and 6505...... make ValveKings and whatever else in China.

Also just looked up prices of a 6505 OG 1992 or whatever the fuck they call them nowadays......

North of 1500$ for a Chinese Peavey amp.......

The 6505 ll....... it's 1999.99$......... Made in China......

That is fucking insane and simply ridiculous.....

Make them in America/USA for that money.....

A Fender Twin Reverb Reissue cost around the same and those are Made in USA for 2099.99$........ What's Hartley Peaveys excuse....... especially given labor cost, taxes, regulations in Mississippi vs California :dunno:

Holy shit! The 6505 1992 head is $1699!!! I had no idea. For some reason I thought they were like $1200.

it this point it is a no brainer ..YES .... I mean they released a whole lot of pre amp pedals a namm (no IR's mind you). I was surprised they didn't do a 6505 then

There already are about a dozen pedals that do this, including the EVH ones

The VTM and Rockmaster pedals, however, are a very cool idea

They were $1299 recently, I was debating trading my 6505+ and some pedals I don’t use much towards one where it would almost be a wash
