The AI is wrong.....1995 is the date for a return of USA production, have a Koa San Dimas 1 USA, 95 in the serial number...the catalog is even printed in 1995 and they talk about the return of USA production right there in the literature.I did not know there were Charvel's made in the US after 86 and before Fender bought them.....
Wiki doesn't mention it but an AI generated response told me USA production restarted in 96....
I'm not saying yours isn't USA 1995 ....just saying.....
Cut and paste of AI ...
Charvel Guitars in the 1990s
Manufacturing Locations
- USA Production: Charvel guitars were primarily produced in the USA until 1986. After that, production moved to Japan under the International Music Corporation (IMC) until 1991.
- Japanese Production: From 1986 to 1991, Charvel guitars were exclusively made in Japan. This included various models that were well-received in the market.
Return to USA Production
- 1996 Onward: In 1996, Charvel reintroduced USA-made guitars with the launch of the "San Dimas Series." This marked a return to American manufacturing, focusing on high-quality instruments.

Which is why you shouldn't use AI as an accurate source of information. It's like quoting wikipediaI did not know there were Charvel's made in the US after 86 and before Fender bought them.....

1994. For 3 yrs, 94/95/96, they reissued the Charvel San Dimas in the SDI, II, III and IV. All 24 frets, and the neck profiles were a bit smaller than most of the 80s USA Charvels/Jacksons I've had.The AI is wrong.....1995 is the date for a return of USA production, have a Koa San Dimas 1 USA, 95 in the serial number...the catalog is even printed in 1995 and they talk about the return of USA production right there in the literature.

Nice! I'm glad the neck profile is smaller if so, Wizard necks were home for me for so long lol....anything too far out I might be allergic to it lol. Great neck on there though, definitely more beef than the ibby....one thing about that guitar is taps/legato just seems to pop out on that guitar for sure....easy to play.1994. I had a Purple SDIV, great guitar but really didn't remind me much of the originals. And, the love it/hate it ballsack headstock was in play lol.
