This looks amazing ^_^
Thanks! Yeah the color is incredible, whole thing is going together really nice. Even my Wife who is jaded AF about these things by now said "Wow! that's a keeper!" hahaha. Not much left to do, minimal leveling and then polish and put her together

Trying to track down a brass three way toggle switch....

My first "good" guitar was a MIJ Charvel Model 1 I bought new in around '85 or '86. Played it all through college and wore out the crappy Jackson trem by doing too many Steve Vai trem windmills and had a local shop install a a Floyd.

Sold it many years ago to buy an Ibanez of some sort. Wish I had kept it.

I did pick this up earlier this year. Swapped in an Antiquity JB and Ti saddle blocks. Killer guitar.

I'm a tough critic.... that looks absolutely killer!
Thanks man, I know you've had a few real ones too. The color is actually a mistake that happened trying to fix a fuckup, rookie spraying rootbeer brown candy and it got streaky, I had to keep shooting paint until it evened out but by then it was a competently different thing that I actually like better. Its a killer guitar all the way around.

How many of you have assembled guitars from recent Charvel parts? I love the look of the Pro-Mod relic, but how good are the MIM necks these days?

Two of my recent MIM (pro mod and bass V) are 10/10 necks and fretwork, imo. Another (pro mod) had a bit of fret sprout, but all seem to be well selected pieces of wood and built consistently. YMMV, but feel like they're a bit above the average MIM Fender which is strange because I believe it's they're made in the same facility.

You painted that? Wow, nice job
Thank you! yeah I did that one and @Jdub's I posted above, and prob about a dozen others by now. I've got access to a spray booth at work now that's made it way nicer to paint stuff. Still using aerosol rattle cans from Roth Metal Flake or Tropical Glitz, but I'm about to put my big boy pants on and get a gun so I can shoot large metal flake too.

Can or not, it looks really good. ❤️ I want my husband to paint my car that color (or at least close like a black cherry). Probably won't be for another year or two. Looks really good with the caramel flame neck and gold.

I've go a demartini Pro Stock which is pretty sweet, I like the Charvel necks. I think prices on the Mexico and newer off the shelf models is good for what you get and they constantly bring out diff colors. I'd love to see more non fine tuner floyds with locking tuners or two point trems and relics though. Mix it up.
