Jackson COW's
If you don't need a neck pickup, these are killer!

I use 9s with a 56 for the low B, tune to B flat, 7s have always felt natural to me...
But I am REALLY picky about neck shapes because my hand will go numb on many necks (the Ibanez and Petrucci)
If those came with the san dimas/fender style headstocks I'd be shooting loads in my pants.
It can be done. Warmoth.com
Yea, I've been thinking about getting an ET Guitars neck made to feel exactly like an RG1527 with a strat style headstock.

Don't buy one of these, all it does is cramp my hand and make me crazy, and you'll save $3000.

Is that the baritone version of SC's 7-string sig?

I am just wondering. Have you played the 7 string JP Jem? If so, which do you prefer?

I have not played one.. I take back my previous statement of best.guitar.EVER! for lack of experience playing with every guitar ever made lol.. When I got the EBMM JP-7 I haven't touched any of my other guitars except my strat and I don't think I'm going to be playing them anymore the JP-7 is just so fun to play. I began selling off my others last month. I'm on the fence about selling the PRS, but I think it's going to go, so I can get another JP-7 or a custom jobby.

Cosmic Blue RG1527 Prestige loaded w/SD Invader bridge and Jazz neck.

Vampire Kiss RG7620 loaded w/EMG 707-81 bridge and 707 neck.

was there much of a difference between those two guitars besides the price?
The neck on the RG1527 is about 2mm wider at the 24th fret. It has an Edge Pro trem while the RG7620 uses the Lo Pro Edge trem. Both trems are excellent. Both have basswood bodies. That particular 1527 neck has a skunk stripe (bubinga) on the back while the 7620 doesn't. The newer 1527s have 5 pc necks (maple/bubinga/wenge/bubinga/maple).

Used the 7620 sells for about $350-400 (stopped production in '99) on ebay while the 1527 is about $550-700 (This is the last year of the RG1527 as it is now - next year it will have a different trem).

wow

someone really knows ibanez!

I would seriously suggest that you try the Jem. I have a buddy that has the JPM100 P2 and loves it, but also tried the new one from Music Man. He, and I, would take the Ibanez hands down. Just some food for thought...

A couple pics of my KxK SCii-7... I'll include a link to the gallery of the pics for my Sii-7 as they're huge

The SC is 26.5" scale solid piece of mahogany, tuned down a whole step with BKP Cold Sweat pickups. Strung with Elixir 10-68s. The Sii-7 is 25.5" scale maple neck through with mahogany wings tuned to B standard with BKP Cold Sweat neck and Nailbomb bridge. I'm currently trying out a set of LaBella 9-64 set of strings.

I really dig that Sii-7.

Thanks. I've actually got two more in progress with the newer KxK carved top design... one is all white limba with en ebony board and will be white with black hardware and the other is an exotic wood model with a rosewood / ebony neck, black limba wings, figured bubinga top, and ebony board hopefully with nickel covered pups and chrome hardware. Both have stainless steel frets
