I think that's a great idea. Personally I never go to those forums. If I have any questions about guitars or effects I'd just post them in the amps section anyway...like most others do. And it'd be less for you guys to worry about.

I always had this idea of a forum when you make a new thread you can check what the topic is (guitar/amp/effects/OT/spam) then theres only 1 forum but you can change the types of posts you view like say i only care about amps and OT then i dont see any of the guitar/effects posts but i can turn them on if i want, or i can just see everything (which is what i would probably do). The software here probably doesnt support this but i think it would be cool.

My £0.02:

– Have the simple "Rig Talk" forum for general gear related chat, like the HCAF days of old
- Keep the theory board, I know its not high traffic, but its a great resource.
- I would prefer the classified forums to stay as is, it makes more sense i think. If i am looking for a guitar, i only want to see guitar posts.

Whatever you do, you guys are doing a great job and this place rocks...
