Shuguang 12AX7A vs 12AX7B - What's the dif?

Hey guys

Is there much difference between version A and B? The 12AX7B's say they're higher gain, lower noise.

I'm thinking of snagging the B versions for my Ultra Lead. The site I'm looking at doesn't say 9th gen either. Could I assume they are 9th gen?

The logic part of me says that if it's a 12AX7B, and it's new to the market, then it can't be "9th gen"

I know nothing about the "generations" of these tubes, but would like to be informed!
