Hey Guyz,

Downloaded the patch and gonna give it a spin tomorrow.

Sounds really good in that mix!!

That was balls deep 100% fkn KILLER dude!!!

:rawk: :rawk: LOVED IT :rawk: :rawk:

Couple questions for you - when you worked on this preset to get the tone tweaked, are you working through an FRFR system, monitors, or eargoggles? Sounds awesome.

Thanks guyz,

I was a little worried about putting this first video up.

I have LITERALLY only been using an AXE FX 2 for 4 days now - and I'd never used a Standard or Ultra in the past either - so this was a - jump in the deep end and see what happens type scenario

Haha, thanks man -

Actually, believe it or not, this was done just using the inbuilt speakers in my Apple Cinema Display - I had to rewire some stuff in the studio and shit was everywhere so I just plugged the AXE in via usb and monitored it through the screen - lol

I set the 6160 first using one of the AXE FX cabs (mesa I think) and got what I considered a good tone going - then replaced the mesa cab with the tone match block and ran the cab-less tone out through an old power amp into the blackstars into the two mics and back into the Mac Pro.

Then ran that recorded tone into the tone match block via usb and matched the fizzy cabless preset to the blackstar sound I recorded.

Does that make ANY sense??

EDIT - I should also say I did use ipod earphones while tracking - but the mix and tone match where done thru the screen

Good stuff dude!! Glad to see you messing with the Axe-II.

The Axe with V7 firmware, all the great amps/effects, and the Tone Match block is totally mind blowing !!

The only advanced parameter I use is the Transformer Match knob(XFormer Match). Turning it to the left will make any amp as open sounding as you could want. Try it (the higher the master vol the more pronounced this is).

Now I fully expect you to release some more killer Axe vids and patches, including matches of some iconic famous tones!!

I lifted your patch last night and immediately started rockin' it. Keep it up - your heavier vibe in amongst all the Vox and Dr.Z patches was a welcome addition to the "popular downloads" section on axechange

Australian by chance?

Yes Sir -
The "heaps" bit gave it away ;)

Mother ALL !!!

That was just some killer tone

Killer groove man too, when that stuff starts 2-Stepin' hard at 00:44 I was wanting about to knock everything off my desk and break things.

Anyway, I was like inches away from buying an AXE-FX II 3 weeks ago...

I bought a Bogner 20th Anniv. XTC EL34 instead...

Might have to grab an AXE FX II for real after hearing that track... holy crap.

G.

Hey all !!

Glad you guyz were digging the 5150 AXE Tone \m/

Silent Underground Studio has been dead quiet with the content this past month - and for that I send you all 1000's apologies.

We ran into some unexpected and pretty significant setbacks this month but everything should be back to normal (or better than before actually) in the next week or so !!
A TONNE of new shit is coming, new studio setup, new gear, new endorsements, a Borne of Deception record, MXR giveaway is being drawn and a bunch more shit -

I'll do a proper thread soon to let all you guyz know whats going on !!

Until then -

Fuckin Rock !!
