I'm looking for a new PU for a single hum LTD Lynch-mutt guitar and wanted some suggestions as what to get. I need something that has the crispness and attack of a duncan, but something that sounds fat for solo's and sweeping. I'd rather get a low or medium output PU. So far I've thought of the SD CC and the Lace Alumitone. The Lace has always intrigued me. Anyone ever play one? Any suggestions.

My first suggestions would be a Bare Knuckle Rebel Yell or a Motor City Angel Dust. Both a medium output, Alnico V magnets and are very crisp and punchy, but have a pretty fat single note tone. They both do all styles well, but are very clear and articulate. If you want to go lower output than that, check out the Motor City 2nd Degree Blackbelts. Very fat, lower output, tons of note separation and clear as a bell.

Dean USA Vinnie Moore PU. It won best PU at 2009 Musikmesse. I have it in my 58 V replica

Hey JJB, what is the VM pickup EQ'ed like? What other pickup would you compare it to?
