Skid Row 1989

Saw Skid Row at the metropol? in Pittsburgh…’93, ‘94ish. They kicked ass and Bach fucking OWNED the room. I’ll never forget it.

I saw him with his solo band at Harpos in Detroit a few years Bach(lol get it!?!?) He sounded great! He knew he was on his game, and did that whole thing where he sings a few lines from other big rock bands from the era, whos singers maybe can't hang anymore (ahem: paul stanley...vince neil...etc) it was just as the covid lockdown was lifted, so the bands were all trapped on their busses all day and had huge energy once they hit the stage. I really wanted to get a pic with Bach, while dressed like Julian from TPB, and holding a rum and coke in a high ball glass. i consider it a lost opportunity.

As they say - Never meet your heroes. I would suspect that most of the people we look up to are not guys that we would enjoy hanging out with ha. But he could sing his ass off then and the band was on fire. I think the second record was too heavy - they could have extended their run a a bit longer with a more mainstream record like the first one. Kinda odd they went in that direction to me. Their management had to want another record like the first one....
I agree on all points!
