Slash 2.0 pickups, anybody try them?

I got a pair and liked them so much that I bought a second!
I used to have the Slash V1 on a Zemaitis Les Paul style, with aluminum top, mahogany body/neck and ebony fingerboard, and I really like those. They were very dynamic and bright enough to get that big cut, a bit scooped, but with a really tight bottom end.
After I replaced them with the V2, I still have the big cut and tight low end, but it almost seemed that the midrange was increased quite a bit. These don't sound scooped at all compared with the V1.
To make a long story short, I found these more of a classic rock sounding than the V1, and if you use them for more of a metal type music, they'll punch and chug more too.
I really like them!

Excellent, this is what I was hoping to hear

I might have to give one of of these a shot in my LP Standard. Been using the original version for a decade now. Always wanted a little more output and mids.

I bought some a few months ago and I dig them. They have more of everything from V1 so if you liked that pickup, you'll love these. No loss of clarity either which I was trying to avoid and worried about at first when I bought them. Super crisp high end!

I have those in a Slash Victoria gold top. I agree with the comments so far and I do like them.

Awesome! That's what I'm looking for. Crisp/clear, especially in the neck.

Thanks! Glad you're digging them still.

I was thinking of going Custom Floor Shop to get 4 conductor wiring to split them, but maybe that's not needed. My 57/57+ in another LP split so well, but not sure I wanna wait that long to get these in my LP.

These are my current favorite PAF variant. Love them in every guitar I've tried, especially Les Pauls.

I really like all the clips and YouTube vids I have seen of this set and have been considering them for my 1989 Les Paul Custom. What concerns me is the neck pickup specs. I know DC Resistance is not the end all/be all, but any neck bucker I put in my Les Pauls that are over the 8K range have been mud city. Has anyone used the regular Alnico Pro II neck with the Slash 2.0 bridge?

I’ll be the dissenter……I didn’t like them at all. Too hot and had some bloat/mud going on in the mids. Not very musical to my ears. Then again, I typically don’t like most A2 humbuckers. So there’s that.

Yep, I like them a lot. I was looking for a set of 57 Classics or custombuckers, but found a 2.0 used set for a good deal thinking I would move them when I found something else. I haven't looked back. Clear, aggressive, not too hot. They are great.
