Soon I'm going to try and slave my Mesa into a Strategy 400. Question...I've only done this once with an attenuator. I have a combo, so a speaker load will be used. Two options..line out, to intellifex mono input, both outputs to power amp inputs, out to 2 speaker cabs...2nd option..effects loop send..to intellifex mono input, out again to both power amp inputs, out to both speaker cabs...am I right? Thanks

Yup, I've done that with three amps just for SnGs   line out of one amp (to cab of course) into digitech tsr12 stereo revevrb, 2 outs, one to each head to cabs. Wall of DESTRUCTION!! Same thing with line out from fx, one goes back to the return of original amp, one goes to the slave amp return n cab.. Have fun!

Thanks! Yeah, completely impractical for any gig I do nowadays.....but, when the house is empty.....fun to be had!

I do a 4 cable ( I guess 5 cable really) setup that way. Guitar into my G-System then out to the front of my main EVH 100 watt. fx out back to the G-System then left out back to the fx return of the EVH and the right out into the fx return of my other EVH 100 watt. Every once in awhile I'll hook up all 3 of my EVH's at home and go wet dry wet. Way to much to lug around though.

Hmm..yet another option..thanks! Yeah I can just gig with the combo, although I'd miss the fullness of a 4x12.

Ya... I generally gig with my 4x12's too. But I do on occasion use my 2x12 cab's. Might this weekend actually. I turn up the lows a bit more and it's not to bad.

There is a 3rd signal sending option when slaving a Mesa Mark series. There are two 1/4" jacks on the underside of the chassis (power amp in & power amp out). They may or may not be labelled with marker, so plug a guitar directly into one to determine which is which (you'll hear a faint signal when plugged into power amp in). Once that is determined, slave the amp into the 400 via the power amp out jack. All 3 ways send the signal from different locations in the circuit & therefore sound and react a bit different.

As always, use a proper load on the combo. A plugged in speaker will provide the best feel.
