I've got a rack nearly finished and have 2U left. I'd love to find a sliding rack shelf to put my TU2, Nova Delay, TS9, and channel switcher on. Is there a shelf out there that mounts "low" enough in a 1U space to allow me to do this? This Raxxess shelf miiight work but I'm not sure:

Any solutions you guys can come up with would be great. Oh and I also want to make sure the shelf doesn't slide forward during transport.

I just ordered the only one on ebay
like $40 same company
hope it works...
I'm mounting some bigger stuff

 I'm working on making a calendar of her and my gear actually :D

This should work fine.

This one also is nice. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdet ... N=96437862

That looks great since the shelf sits on the bottom on the rack space as opposed to most of the others which sit on the top. Do you know if it stays in place well during transport?

I have that exact one and my pedals fit in 2 spaces, but just barely. If you have any tall pedals they might not squeeze in.

also might want to look at

and might want to hit up Dave Friedman for ideas as well he does after all build rack systems for a living.... I'm also curious. Been thinking about getting another sliding shelf. The old sls raxxess ones are great but they dont make them anymore. replaced with the new versions that dont seem as good. Seems hard to find a good low profile sliding self...

I've had no issues with it staying locked during transport. The first one you listed doesn't really lock very well.
The Parts Express one is a little lighter too since it doesnt have a wood shelf.

Great. Thanks for all the info. I think I'm going to go with the Penn one, mainly because it seems to have the most headroom. I'm not a big pedal person but I'd rather have the extra space in case I end up getting into pedals a bit more and wind up with a pedal that is taller than my current ones.

If anybody has the Middle Atlantic one I'd be curious to know if it is as low profile as the Penn shelf.

I forgot about that MA one when you asked me last night. Those are really nice.

I've got the Penn one coming and if I don't like it I'll return it and get the MA one. Of course a Raxxess one popped up on Craigslist today for $45

I have one of these and have it mounted upside down, and it works great.

If anyone is interested, I have 2 of these that I'll sell for $30 plus shipping - basically brand new. Save some money... PM if interested...

I ended up getting the Penn shelf. Seems to be ok but I'd probably get a different one the second time around.
