Check out c3amps.com. A plethora of SLO stuff there; pretty much everything you'd need Rob has.

definitely can't be seen as a 'kit' like with pedals. debugging an amp to get it not only wokring, but also hum-free is VERY different than building a pedal kit.

at least this is my experience after having succesfully built 4 amps (including a sloclone), as well as approx 20 pedals.

still, if you have enough motivation, building a SLO clone is definitely doable with the loads of available info (and parts) on the net.

How are you going to build an SLO clone without the DeYoung transformers?

http://slocloneforums.com is a wealth of info, focused on the SLO, but also tons more.

Not for the beginner, but if your up to the task you can build an outstanding amp.

This... I've built 2 and they rock. working on a third with some different tweaks... :)

well, for most it's more about the venture of building your own amp. the SLO is a perfect starting project due to it's simplicity and the tons of info available.

i see your point with the DeYoungs, though. additionally to that, all the other components will also affect the sound. at the end, no clone will sound 'just like' a real SLO. it's still possible to build a great sounding amp this way and there are PLENTY of alternative transformers and components available, as well as the necessary info to get started experimenting ;-)

i never expected my SLO clone to sound like the real thing. still, i'm very pleased with the result. people like the hot rod's as well after all ;-)

Use the O'Netics PT and Hi-Def OT and you will be in good shape.

Theres a dufference with the transformers, but ghey still dound like an slo. Its not that huge if a difference.

I got the x88r pcb s from ampclones. Totally killer pubs, some of the best I've ever used.

I do NOT want to fight with the amp makers on the forum about the ethics....

Use at your own morality lmfao....

watt audio sells a great kit for the marshall jcm-800 the amp-clone pcb are not easy to build the point to point is the best keep it simple the clasic tone trainformers work great a jcm-800 amp slo are almost the same

There was a guy on RT about a year, year and a half ago, Fatbagg I think was his name. He had a real badass sounding SLO clone that I tried to buy but someone else snagged it. I think he said it was via SLO clone forums.

I have two built using onetics trannies in one and heyboer in the other and they both sound killer. I used a turret layout with info from sloconeforums and parts from c3amps. I've modified and tweaked them a lot but I've pretty much sold all my other amps now and just use these two.

Please use punctuation. I am interested in doing a JCM 800 build and have no idea what you wrote.

Dude... you keep bumping EVERY SLO thread on this forum from like two years ago. And all you do is write incoherent ramblings about JCM800 clones. What's your malfunction?
