I have both, the 25 is right there IMO some ways better as it gets the goods at realistic volumes and it has a proper loop that works and works well. Downside is 25 really doesn't have a true clean (or clean switch) but you can back off the gain enough to get there if needed. I like em both just that you don't need to get the 25 to ear bleed before it gives up the goods. The 25 is a bit more forgiving too, not as stiff it seems to me.
See, I don't get the 'ear bleed volume give up the goods' thing. I thought at 2, even a little earlier my SLOs sounded great. Maybe even better louder but after 3-4 it stayed unchanged tone wise. But I boosted mine a little maybe thats why. But I think Marshalls sound good at lower volumes too, and get better louder.

I have no idea what you're talking about. The SLO only sounds great with the MV on 6 or greater. :D

Volume on 7 if you can swing is unbelievable on the SLO. Sounds good on 2, but 4 or higher is something else.

Volume was on 6 in this video. It was too much for the iPhones mic. It was fun though.

I had earplugs in. There's no way I could handle that volume without them.
