Spent the last 2 nights dialing it in. W/D/W rig. Wired by Dave Friedman of Rack Systems - Alice in Chains, EVH, Lynch, Steve Stevens, No Doubt, etc... ;D

Sounds amazing! Mike does some wonderful things.

I wanted the Surf Box in there, but it was just getting too big. I'll make a smaller one with an X99, SM100r and the Surf Box. When not gigging they are at the shop so stop by to play 'em.

Looks killer, hope to plug into that beast during NAMM week.

Take us through how its set up...I can see the 2 SLO's and the stereo Mesa power amp and 2 2x12s...whats plugged into what and where is the Dry signal coming from?

Egnater is from Ultra Sound. Ep is really great. I tried about 6 boost and liked this the best for me. The Mesa is the fx amp. Those cabs are split, one speaker dry one wet. But I was using the Scumback Marshall for dry and 2 Bogner cubes for wet most of the night. Purple SLO is an '88 (#19 slo ever) with KT66s in it. Channel 1 is mainly for cleans and blues type stuff (with the Tim/Timmy) and channel 2 is my main Lead sound. The Red one has =C= 6l6s and it is my rythm amp. Channel 1 for the classic bend, Channel 2 my heavier stuff.

It is heavy, but it sounds great! It will be at Tone Mechants a lot if anyone wants to give it a go.

I can't help but think that would better with a beefier poweramp... but the custom SLO rackmount heads are KILLER! :) I still have my rack gear at home, part of me doesn't even want to try a W/D/W setup because it might spoil me forever and ever and I barely have room in my car to take a half stack, let along a full W/D/W rig.

I just don't play that loud and don't use that many fx. I have a VHT 6l6 Black Beauty power amp but it weighs a ton. As it is the Mesa is turned down to about 2. ;)

You're worried about weight when your rack probably already weighs 400 pounds? :D Very cool though, the SLOs are awesome. Did they just do custom colors on those, or were they actual production pieces?

Every little bit.    It would have taken another space as well. The purple one is an'88 production piece. The 19th SLO ever. The red one is from this year, but the first Mike had made in 15 years he said. He said it would be the last.
