And Russian ( NOS) tubes that came out of the old St. Petersburg factory, NOT Reflektor, are quality tubes. That's why tubing up an SVT with Winged Cs costs a fortune. You've most likely never owned a Russian tube and you have no fucking clue how often I play guitar or what I know or don't know about NOS tubes.

JJs are sterile. I never had one fail, but they sound anemic to me. Kind of like comparing a JCM800 to an 80s Peavey Mark IV.

They seem to work ok in modern PCB amps, but they sound like ass in all mine. Which are not modern. One thing I agree with the dipshit about is that NOS are superior. I just disagree with him about Russian NOS. The new Russian shit does suck, but not any more than the fucking Chinese garbage or any current production tubes. And I'll take Russian tubes over Chinese tubes all day long. The old Russian tubes from St. Petersburg are great though. NOS US, British, Dutch, German = far superior.

RCA Blackplates, Amperex Bugle Boys and a true Mullard currently in my Brown Deluxe.

But the NOS are spot on its the tubes not the amp.
To make matters worse he would give me no refund or swap another set and paypal gave it to me in the ear.
So fuck that guy.
Some of the new sensor is okay but ive moved on from the Slovaks / Chinese & Russians.
All 3 countries know they got USA guitar players by the ying yang and its going to get worse not better.
And NOS are drying up but the ones i got will outlive me so ....

You know if Matsushita in Japan would entertain making their EL-34's again that would really be something to get excited about but im afraid that ship has sailed.
I remember 15+ years ago i had 2 JMP 2203's one with EL-34's and one with 6550's.
I bought SED =C= for both and man what a sound.
I still have a quad of old GT 6550's.
The new tube market is so narrow in scope.
Back in early 80's Marshall tubed their JCM 800 2203 & 2204 / 2205 & 2210's with Czech Teslas and then they went out of business.
