EVH 50 watter looks good. What else is there? Don't want a full size head.
While I have the EVH myself and having owned the V3M (sold it with no regrets after hearing and buying the Engl Ironball),BrokenFusion":2hwm2xc7 said:It looks like for the money the EVH will be hard to beat.
nobody likes the green? Or is it just the shared 1/2 issue?garey77":17xo8hls said:Only down-side is the lack of a really decent clean channel on the EVH.

Yeah, you can get a DC mod on the 1/2 channel to get separate gain levels, but that's an addition to the amp (not stock, which is sort of lame). You have to gain the clean channel up to get volume out of it. That being said, the crunch/lead channels sound great, and ch. 2 cleans up 'ok' w/guitar, but the lack of no good clean drives me batty.crankyrayhanky":1sr18sp0 said:nobody likes the green? mods for Dual gain and Volume or totally needed on this amp to give a solid 3 channels
Thanks, I could see using some different tubes to lower the gain. I'm running the gain on about 3.crankyrayhanky":385s5sck said:Nice score!
Here's some tube info that is helpful:
