Small amp switcher?

So here is the scenario and I can't seem to find what I want or maybe it is a simple ABY box.

2 or 3 amps on a shelf, only one will be powered on at a time ( for load reasons) into the SAME cab via a switcher. I just want one long cable run to my cab in the closet back to a box which serves 2 or 3 amps. What is going to do the trick?
If you're strictly going to have only one on at a time and you trust yourself to not screw up then you don't need a clever switcher. The junction box or a simple cable switch as you suggested does the job cleanly and perfectly.

But don't screw up, no load, etc etc.

That seems like a fast way to blow something up.

You'd basically be sending the speaker out of amp A into both the cab and back into amp B, and you'd be sending the output of amp B to the cab and back into amp A. Also you'd have to check to see whether that box could accommodate the high wattage throughput of the amps, which I would not be confident it could do.

There's a reason every amp switcher on the market is built as a heavy duty box with a highly engineered switching system and dummy loads everywhere inside.

After doing it a long time by hand, I strongly agree with the advice to just spend the money on a decent switcher, even if you have to save up for a bit. Eventually you will make a mistake and then you could end up spending just as much or more. It is worth it if you really care about your gear. This is not something to cheap out on.

DeLisle has several switcher models to choose from. For your situation these are the one's I'd look at. All of his amp switchers have load protection

V1 - Basic 3 amps, 1 cab or can go opposite 1 amp, 3 cabs
V2 - Step up from V1 for 4 amps, 4 cabs
V3 - Similar to V2, but 3 amps 3 cabs and attenuator loop if you need one
4x4 Deluxe - Nice step up. 4 amps, 4 cabs, attenuator loop and ground lift. Also single input that routs signal to selected amp which is very convenient.

Simplest solution is the Palmer TINO :

The old Egnater amp switcher will switch 4 amps into one cab and the other 3 are load protected.
