Hi guys, i'm using this forum since personal mails with David Friedman simply stopped being answered about this issue, so please if you have an answer for this please help me out.

Here's te problem: The volume of the fx loop suddenly gets really loud for a while before changing channels, then backs to it's "normal" level. Mi signal chain is: Amp FX send to the in of EWS SVC (Passive volume pedal), out of the EWS to the input of a Suhr Minimix mixer (Hooked to an Eventide Time Factor delay set 100% wet). The Out of the Minimix goes to the input of an Eventide H9 and the output of the H9 goes back to the FX Return of the amp.
I’ve had this setup for a long time and never had an issue with it.

Mr. Friedman told me that this "fault" (his words) can be fixed if i send the amp to California, the thing is i live in Chile and that would be extremely expensive. He told me he would get some documents for my local dealer to fix it but hose documents were never sent. After this he never replied to me again (three un-answered mails)

I hate to do this, my warranty expires in one month and i need to have a fully operating amp, especially on a 3000$ amp.

Any help will be extremely welcome, thanks a lot!

I have the documentation for you. It's about a whole page of changes. Plus I will have to take pictures because if they do not do it right then what. Also I need to send you some parts to complete this. All of this takes some time to get together. Most people do not use the clean channel as clean as you are and this is the issue. The amp was never really intended to have a clean channel really just a gritty clean. Please be patient I will have the rest of the documentation in a day or so.

Daves a man of his word and will take care of you. How's your lifetime warranty ending?

dvdkinman - just chill out and work with Dave. It's understood in this instant gratification timing you and everyone want things done...yesterday, but if you work together and it may take a little bot of time, you'll finally end up with what you want and need.

Ok Dave thanks a lot, but you could told me that (or anything) by mail 3 weeks ago and it would been easier, don't like doing this thread thing at all, not my style!

Clean Channel on 6 or 7 with a strat gives me a light crunch tone, not super clean either but the thing is mainly with soundmans complaining, makes it super hard to work with it and i love my amp, don't wanna end up with it in my room for youtube videos and practicing only.

LP freak i understand lifetime warranty is only for US costumers, am i right Dave?

Equ1nox the thing here is in 15 days my warranty ENDS here in my country, i'm chilled of course though.

Thanks for the answers!

This is not a warranty item. It's a modification to the original circuit to work for you. We have shipped 1000 or so of these and out of that only 2 people I know of have a issue. I a fix and it will be incorporated into a new version of the amp in the near future.

Ok Dave thanks a lot, really. I know this might be because of the use of the FX Loop i give to the amp (with the volume pedal on it) but i never had this "problem" with other amps. My only worry is that this modification as you stated is done in more than 15 days i'll have to pay for it, so hope you understand my point here.

When do you think i could have that documentation finally?

Thanks again

Ah yes, lifetime warranty is only for the US....bummer.

My Wildwood 3-channel Smallbox does the same thing. When using a delay and switching from the BE channels to Plexi channel (with gain below 7 "Clean" setting), you do get the loud slap-back from the delay. The Soldano SLO does the same thing when in the Clean mode of the Normal channel (delay on, switching from Overdrive to Clean....you get a loud delayed slap back).

I think what Dave was saying is that if you have the Plexi channel gain at 10, then you won't get the loud slap back when using a delay....most guys use it this way.

I can understand what the OP is talking about. There is nothing wrong with the amp, just the way it was designed.

Ok Dave thanks a lot, i'll be waiting!

Slo griff i don't know if it's normal or not, but is a pain in the ass for live shows for sure.
