Just started to use pedals at home. Carpeted basement floor. Five pedals in the chain. I'm getting an internittent snap, crackle, and pop, like a static discharge. I've taken each pedal, one by one, out of the chain...still does it. With no pedals, no pops. The patch cables are just shitty GC stuff, but is it possible all of them went crackly at the same time? Or do I need to get the pedals off the floor, maybe onto a board like I use playing out?

I'd get them off of the floor first. Might fix it. If not, check adapters and patch cables, and the outlet you're using.

could be the guitar, on my les pauls, i had to shield the back control cavity plate, because it was cracking and poping from my leg rubbing against it, take your fingers and rub the plates, on a strat the pickgaurd can do the same thing from your fingers touching it

Are they all true bypass pedals?

Every true bypass pedal that I have will give some loud pops the first time you step on it each day. They build up some static electricity just sitting there.
