so close, Fender. More color options would be great.

Fender introduced the Vintera III collection, including a mid '60s spec Jaguar. I had a Vintera II Jag in Ocean Turquoise, that I now regret selling.

Unfortunately, they only offer the Jag in the usual hideous 3-color burst; Sherwood green and shell pink. I'd like a red or Sky burst metallic...

Guess I'll wait for the Vintera IV.

the balls on them

It seems '60s spec Jags always get the colors I dislike the most. Ocean turquoise wasn't my favorite, but it was ok. The three Vintera III Jag color options are among my least favorite, besides shoreline gold. At least a red or blue color option...along with pink and green.

I'd just build one in the Mod Shop to get the color I want if they offered '60s spec electronics as an option.

Maybe if you got stuck with a jag as your first guitar you'd understand.

The other benefit I'd get if I still owned a jaguar is I'd always have some reserve firewood on hand, which is what I need to go collect right now...

I had a black MIJ Jag, a white Marr Jag, and the Vintera Jag in ocean turquoise. I sold them all, and my strat...I'd like to have a '60s spec Jag again, but in a color I actually like.

My first guitar was a 1964 Jaguar. Birthday gift for my 14th birthday.
My old man had a lake placid blue 1965. I've hated jaguars ever since but all the knobs, dials, switches, and chrome plates enthused me to start playing so I guess it had that going for it.

Here's a Mod Shop, it only has the modern electronics...I'm guessing that's a 4-way switch for pickups, and the top 2-way switch for phase/out of phase when both pickups are selected....but can't confirm it's not a 3-way switch for pickups. No painted headstock either. And it costs a few hundred more than the Vintera III Jag.

that Fender 3-tone burst is one of the worst IMO.

Hot Rod Red or Fiesta Red; or Lake Placid or Miami Blue...Skyburst Metallic. White pickguard.

Basically all the 50s and 60s colors are amazing, except the sunburst

I don't know why people think sunburst looks good on a shitty piece of wood like that with no grain, its always hideous

I love jaguars but its one of those guitars where it's impossible to find one with the right specs, unfortunately
