My understanding is that they are trying to keep their options open with these artists in the hopes of creating sig models with these guitarists. If all the guys that would buy a Jake signature are able to just do one now from the custom shop, if jake ever comes around and agrees to sign on, there's not going to be that many buyers left. That's what I have been told at least.
And it's amazing that Jake isn't interested in doing a sig model with Charvel. What else does the guy have going on? is actually getting a paycheck every once in a while that much of a hassle for him?

If Germany had listened to Dr Porsche regarding tanks and making one platform they would have had a better chance, 10 broken tanks and they could only salvage 1 or 2 due to all the different models.
