Wow, what a cool guitar! GC had just taken one in on a trade. Love the feedback sustainer thing! The guitar had a big ding on the finish, and the floyd rose finish looked like crap, but it sounded and played great. They were asking $1299. They were selling it with a gig bag, and wouldn't budge on the price, so it didn't come home with me. Gonna keep my eyes open for one of these things.

That's a really cheap price. I played one of those at a Guitar Center about a year ago and it was incredible. I couldn't put it down.

Great guitars, but the gold hardware kills it for me.

+1, I hate the gold.

I have a buddy that has 2 PC-1s. They are seriously fantastic guitars.

One of my favorite guitars.

I think the gold hardware looks great on these. I think its a very dark guitar and I have to turn up the mids a little more when I play mine. The neck shape is thicker than a standard Jackson but it has a great feel. I don't use the sustainer too much but its fun to have.

Let me ask you Jack, can you use the feedback switch as a lead boost? It seemed to kick the volume up a bit when I played it, but I didn't play it at gig volume.

Wow! That is a great looking guitar! Post a pic of the whole thing.

I have never thought about it in that respect. If you have it maxed it can provide a volume boost but any little vibration on the other strings would be sustained as well. I don't think it would work well in that regard.

Thanks.

This is one sweet PC-1. I just hate the way the gold tarnishes and/or wears off. I just stay away from gold hardware for that reason alone. On the right guitar, it does look great though.

Oh, I have one poor picture with me at work. More at home.

Two very cool guitars. My old Vandenberg has been retired for a few years now. I love it but I never wanted to have a refret job done on it. Its been packed away.

I have a Mocha PC1, its in almost unplayed condition (haven't had it too long). Great guitar and looks cool as shit. I might have to sell it to cover a short term loss on an amp FedEx broke until the claim is settled or I take them to court.

Yes, I love my Vandenbergs. I have several and they are my main guitars along with a Jackson and Carvin, I run 4 insturments. I am currently having my Vandenberg custom refretted, but my guitar guru is really good so no worries.

Thanks for the compliment!

I hate the gold too. I don't know why they don't do one with chrome or black hardware. It seems like they'd appeal to more guitarists. If the guitar was inexpensive to begin with I could justify buying one and swapping out the hardware myself, but I wouldn't pay that much [$2,400] unless it feels, sounds, plays, and looks exactly how I want it to. With those features, I'd definitely consider buying one with something other than gold hardware.

That's one of the best looking guitars I've ever seen. Love it.

I bought a used PC1 years back but didn't care for how it played and didn't like how it sounded at all. Could have been a fluke.
