I played on a Jackson SL2H and SLSMG. I also played a bunch of the ESP/LTD Deluxe Series....I also played a few Ibanez's and a PRS SE Torero.

Anyways, the PRS SE Torero just blew them all out of the water for me as far as tone and was also the best for playability for me by a smidge over the Jacksons :) I just couldn't deal with the volume knob placement on the Jacksons and that killed them for me.

I'm buying one, that is all.

I have an SE Semi-hollow and while I'm not the biggest fan of the neck profile the guitar sounds AWESOME. I'm thinking of picking up one of those 25th Anniversary guitars in blue.

Cheers,

that is a pretty sweet looking guitar. i like the prs guitars, i may have to try one of these out ....

I'm loving my Torero, but I'm thinking about taking out the emgs and putting some passives in.
The emgs sound ok with my little practice amp but I'm not digging them through the Diezel.

The other thing would be to upgrade the floyd with a brass block from floyd upgrades.
I put an L block in my Jackson Soloist and love the tone and sustain that was added by it.

Check ebay for a Torero, There are a couple on there with a buy it now or make offer.
I shot a low offer and the seller went for it.

That's exactly what I did, put the brass big block in it and changed strings to pure nickle (thanks to the guys here) and it sounds a lot better.

Someone explain this block? Does this block the trem so you can't pull up anymore?

Also, I'm putting a black Duncan TB-14 Custom 5 in the bridge and a black/white DiMarzio F-Spaced PAF Joe in the neck :)

Also, how low is a low offer? I put in a low offer but, I'm thinking it was too low lol but, it's all I can spare right now.....until I get paid in a couple weeks.

What do they normally go for ?

$995. Pricey for a Made In Korea instrument...but, it's THAT phenomenal.

It adds sustain and tone to me. It looks like this, way thicker, more mass, than the stock block. Go to Floydroseupgrades.com They are like $40. I block mine so it only goes down and not back but it's not part of the block. No need to block the trem if you don't want too.

So, you're saying that even WITH the Brass L Sustainer Block I'd still be able to pull up on the floyd? :) They have different sizes too on that site, I'm supposing the bigger the better?

Some guys go L, I have not gone with the L. Just the bigger block. You will lose some travel but, yes, you can pull up or down even with the brass block. Bigger is better to a point but if you want to use the bar don't go too freakin big.

Sorry for all the questions but, what size would you suggest? 32mm 37mm or 42mm? Also, what's the difference between the standard and L blocks?

The stock block that comes with most Floyds will have its dimension stamped on it. You can't really change it from one to the other, just stay with the stock length that you have. The L shaped brass block is to add mass to the unit therefore increasing tone and sustain. But beware, in some cavities this L will prevent you from pulling up on the vibrato. I just ordered a 37mm for my stock OFR that came with my ESP FR-II. I'm very interested to see/hear how it aids in the guitar's overall tone.

That's what I did, went with the number stamped on the stock block. Some guys were getting away with a couple mm difference. Maybe they had more room to play with, idk. If you like to use the bar I would still not get the L. fwiw.
