Yeah Bill has actually been running Helix direct for some time now. Before that it was Fractal. Both get a mix of Friedman for stage volume I believe but he's definitely been gigging Helix for a while now.

When did he switch? Last time i talked to him he was using axe-fx along with his friedman, as you state. :)

It was about 6 months ago or so. There are TV performances where you can clearly see it. He had it when they were on Kimmel.

They are such a killer band. Bills a cool guy as well. Got to meet him and chat a bit about a year ago. Nice dude.

Been a big fan since Remission! Crack the Skye and Emperor of Sand are my two favourite albums at the moment. Leviathan will always be an epic album too.

Rented backline for sure.

Bill changes shit around A LOT and on a whim. Just a couple months ago, i heard from the man himself that he was using the Helix Placater model with one of his signature cab IR's direct to FOH and using the Slax into an iso box for the effects. I don't know WHY he was doing it that way, but that's what he told me.

I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow he's using an AxeFX III or a Kemper or a Katana or an old 2203. Dude likes to experiment.

Sounds like he's one of us. Maybe he's on Rig Talk.

That Backline gear for sure.. not there’s.. he uses the amp.

Considering the downfall of music sales on physical medium, the budget for sending 150lbs by plane from mainland US to Hawaii is probably non-existent. Cradle of Filth tour with Mooer micro preamps and Mooer Radar IR boxes. Hell, even Metallica's techs mentioned that Axe-Fx and Matrixes were cheaper to ship :)

Also looks like Brett decided to stay in Hawaii despite the hurricane coming. This was taken yesterday morning on Waikiki beach, my buddy Raul (pictured with Brett) said this in his post "Surreal metal moment: standing between Brent Hinds of Mastodon and Kirk Hammett of Metallica in Waikiki as we joked about surf, drunk metal fans and Jason Statham movies all morning. I don’t think I can top this #metalmoment"
