Do you hear and feel a big difference from the standard and the ultra?

I thought it sounded great, especially the 1987x, plexi, and Friedman BE. Cleans always sounded good on Axe. Your old Axe Ultra vid sounds just as good IMO.

I liked the clean clips. Not much into the mid gain stuff though. Sounded kind of mid heavy and kind of dirty....like it was artificially dirtied up to be dirtier than it should.

From what I'm hearing there's a real brash element to the upper mids. Not really digging anything on that clip except the very clean cleans. Otherwise it really sounds awful to me.
