So tonight I was sitting on the sofa practicing and flipping through TV channels. Saw a few hot chicks and started watching. After a few moments I quickly perked up while watching and had to rewind. This is from 2020 and someone must be a fan.

So who can figure out why I perked up? ??

those samples have been in a ton of shows. Used to be alot more, but occasionally I still catch it on a newer show.

Yeah, that clip is on a ton of shows/movies. I get giddy every time I hear it. I can’t remember what we were watching, it might have been Nurse Jackie, it popped up and I made my wife (also named Jackie and HATES Ryche) listen to the beginning of “Eyes Of A Stranger” and then had her watch the scene again. The fact that she still tolerates me for doing stuff like this nonstop after 14 years is pretty astounding.

It has...and I swear I heard it on a show that pre dates Mindcrime. Gotta try and find it.
One of my favorite albums ever.

What I find interesting is that, while I’ll go maybe a month or so without hearing anything from it, at least once a week I get into a discussion involving that album.

That’s one tone that I haven’t attempted to pull off in my AxeFX yet. Maybe I’ll try to do that tonight; ”the aunch“ as DeGarmo used to call it. There’s a few tones between Mindcrime and Empire I’d love to ripoff for those nights I‘m drinking and jammin’ cover tunes. Last week I spent a few hours working on a No More Tears preset and it’s pretttty fuckin’ sick.

That sound clip has been used everywhere. It’s also on Motley Crue’s “T.N.T.” (before Dr Feelgood kicks in) around the same era.

Recently my wife of 38 yrs. sat trying her best to feign interest while I explained all of the virtues of my new Shure wireless toy.

For 15 years my wife dealt with me writing ‘AxeFX’ on every grocery list, gift idea list, stuff needed around the house lists, vacation ideas, home improvement ideas, wedding invitations, etc. The day I finally got it, it was one of the biggest reliefs in the world to her. It was literally the entire length of our relationship. :ROFLMAO:

And she dealt with me being a lush for like 10 years straight, which is REALLY fucking crazy. I should note, she came to see Ryche the first time I saw them with Todd La Torre singing and she really enjoyed them live, especially because Todd lays into it a little more. She’s a total metalhead and grew up in the hardcore/punk scene....she drinks whiskey straight from the bottle while I’m drinking vodka and soda from a straw these days. She outbadasses me by far.

Same here but more like 30. We been together since we were both 19 (42 yrs).
It became an addiction for me around 30 and my last drink was December 2018. Coming up on 1,000 days
which is INSANE!!!!

She still loves her wine and the occasional bottle of Brut though. :cheers2:

Yep...what RevDrucifier says... that is a loop track that is played mostly on afternoon soap operas, and TV shows for many years prior to mindcrime in 87. I've even heard that loop "Dr. Davis telephone" in commercials as well.

You catch it sometimes while you are hearing it and your mind takes you right back to when you heard it on the Mindcrime intro!

It wasn't for the acting or dialogue so had to be the music :P

" Anything I can do"? as he lays there in a coma and with no medical background of any type. Writers were rushing to get to lunch..
