So what exactly is that guitar? and yeah, it looks super cool....I'm soooo GASing for a Custom Shop Strat right now it's stoopid.....the ones I played in the last week feel killer.

It's a K-Line strat. If I understand correctly, the body and neck are made by AllParts and the whole thing is spec'd out, pieced together, and painted/aged by a guy here in St. Louis and sold as the "K-Line" brand. I read about them on TGP quite a bit. There are quite a few fans.

I walked into a dealer here in St. Louis and had ZERO intention of buying anything. I played this black K-Line strat and had to have it immediately. Seriously. It has Lollar Blackface pickups in it with a "blend" feature thingy that allows you to blend any combination of neck/bridge pickup. It's just smoking man. Stays in tune when using the whammy, sounds like the best strat in the world, has killer aging, etc... Love it!

Chris

Sounds like a cool guitar...

I will say that the Lollar Special T's I loaded into the Shell Pink Mutt have turned out to be the most mind boggling killer Tele tones I've ever experienced, and have me in search of a set of Lollar Blondes to drop into a Strat.

and wishing I had a Gibson Les Paul. I used to own a custom shop Les Paul but found myself using my BC Rich. I think if you're gonna own some guitars two axes everyone should have is a nice Strat and a nice LP. Unfortunately the only way I could afford one right now is if I sold my 1997 Taylor 914C and that shit ain't happening. Anyways just to torture myself I looked on the web for nice LPs. Looks at the tops on these beauties! http://www.wildwoodguitars.com/electric ... _les_paul/

Selling my 1968 reissue LPC.....good price!
