So is Ben Eller the permanent new guitarist in Mastodon?

i'm not a mastodon fan but if ben eller is the new dude, good for him. he obviously has the chops and they couldn't have found a nicer dude imo.

what a trajectory from his original guitar YT vids to this gig (assuming its not a one off thing). i've always enjoyed his positive attitude and his chops.

No idea if he’d want to or if they want him to, but assume both are true, couldn’t happen to a more deserving person- he is super entertaining and a better teacher than anyone I’ve seen- breaking down the mechanics and theory in ways I haven’t see other people do

Personally, I'd like to see him land the gig.

As a new hire versus his channel I’d wonder if it would be a reduction in income.

ya know man i actually think hed pull a pete thorn...keep the channel going and just shift to more on tour/behind the scenes vids which would probably get even more views i'd think

I like Ben and I agree he seems like a really good dude. I love his channel so I hope it works out if that’s what he wants.
