So now Trump LUVS H1B visas and American workers lack skills..........WTF?????

A case of MAGA getting butthurt because Trump communicated this in a really bad way. I interpreted it (and Trump sorta said it) as American workers lack specific skills, not all Americans are stupid.

I know it was a bit of damage control, but the way Scott Bessent put it was much better, makes sense, and I suspect what Trump was actually trying to convey.

Go try to hire a US born or legally naturally US citizen for jobs like:

1st Year Medical Resident
Industrial Engineer
Network Engineer
Data Scientist
Data Analyst
Sr. Data Systems Engineer
Financial Analyst
Financial Market Advisor
Systems Ops Specialist

Any of these jobs a US Citizen or Naturalized US Citizen will ask well over $100,000 per year... and most (80%+) can not even write a simple SQL script or tell you the square root of 81... or calculate the correct volume of meds to inject into with out using AI or Chat GPT.

The US is facing a huge shortage of skilled labor for: medical, engineering, data, financial science fields.

US students that graduated in the last 10 years suck at math... I mean they are really bad. They lack basic pc/programing skills, and can't name the first 3 US Presidents.

I can get me a H1B or similar for the above listed jobs for $65-$75,000 and bank the rest. Besides the fact there are not simply currently enough intelligent US citizens that want to work these entry level jobs at entry level wages. Period. Full stop.

Most want to be YouTube influencers, Social Media celebs, or sit in their mom's basement and leech off the rest of us.

Pretty funny how MAGAts hate foreigners unless they can exploit them for a profit...

It's called Capitalism.

And after I bake the cake, sell it and the company for $100,000,000... I'm not sharing it with any socialist commie bum that is hungry but was too lazy to get educated or get a job.

Kinda like the Africans in Africa that trapped other blacks and sold them all over the world for profit as slaves. But nobody likes to talk about that.
And nobody calls them racist either. Hmmm...

The America First guy has brought in 566 foreign workers during his 5 years in office to work at his companies instead of hiring Americans. And counting.

So why are you mad?
I'd think that you'd be more supportive of such behavior.

I fully understand that but he did run on America First and the American worker, judging by the record layoffs going on in 2025 I'm not going to defend any capitulation to the billionaire class and tech bros building the AI digital control grid on the backs of the American worker and Taxpayer as some kind of WIN for us the American working taxpayer.

Maybe the swamp is too deep to drain and maybe that is what we are seeing. The two party system has yet to deliver any actual good legislation for the American worker/lower/middle/upper middle class except for the rhetoric aimed at them during election cycles since probably the early 1960's when the facade of government for and by the people was still thought of as the US form of republic/representative government although that form of government is easily corruptible.

I think most America First American's are sick of the political discourse and would like to see less, foreign aid, military actions, and more investment in America and it's people and for the federal government to actually live within it's means but at 37 trillion and 1 Trillion being printed every 90-100 days to keep the behemoth going in addition to roughly 300 trillion of debt in unfunded liabilities looks like the path of default has been chosen for the US dollar. I don't think any Empire has escaped the application of real mathematics in the history or Empires... we shall see.

Since 2008 the billionaire class has engineered that all 1% financial losses are socialized and all monetary gains are privatized for the 1% that's not representative government any way you look at it.

It's shit like this that should piss anyone off whether delivered from the RED OR BLUE team and we wonder how the US is 37 trillion in debt and counting.

It seems this search for upper echelon "technicians" from other countries started in earnest in the early 80s. We got our first one from India, very intelligent but no sense of humor or social skills but we got along OK. Myself and everyone who worked around him had one nagging question: did every man from India have what looked like a forest growing out of their ears? It had to be obvious to him if he looked in a mirror...does anyone know a native of India and is this a normal practice?
