So the Kiss song Domino is basically a cover tune?

I see that Simmons produced the Black N Blue album back in 1986 that this really cheesy song Nasty Nasty was on. I'm figuring Simmons probably though since nobody ever listened to them, why not ripoff one of their songs.

I see the similarities. The differences are that the Kiss song is pretty cool while that Black and Blue song is horrible.

Surely he could've ripped off a better song.

It's about as bad as everything else they did in the early/mid 90's. They were pretty horrid.

I like both songs....I am a fan of B&B though..."Stop the Lightning" is rockin! Gene might of helped Tommy Thayer write this riff, so I don't know if he ripped it off or not. Sounds similar.

Their mid/late 80s stuff was what turned me onto Kiss. Heavens on Fire and Lick it Up in particular.

I love Domino. I could care less if he ripped it off, but yeah, it's like when Vanilla Ice tried to say he didn't rip off Queen. The best part of Domino for me was watching Gene squirm as his daughter got hotter when she was young. He would freak when dudes would look at her. It always made me think of him singing Domino....lol.

Gene stole Tommy Thayer from Bn'B, he might as well still the main riff, too. :D

I like the Black and Blue song more, and I agree with the person above that stated that Kiss neutered themselves before this album was released.

If Kiss is neutered what does that make Black and Blue??

sorry to disagree with you all, Revenge was a great album, the best Kiss album since Destroyer in my opinion. Heavy guitars, good lead work, good songs.

I agree, Revenge is a great record and Carnival of Souls would have been a great follow up if the Reunion hadnt happened...

Really? I think this is pure garbage... :bleh:

I don't think it's any worse than Christine 16, Shock Me, God of Thunder, etc. When I was 11 and rocking ALIVE II it would have fit in I think. None of it's Kashmir, but KISS is one of my guilty pleasures for sure. To this day any new stereo I get, including cars and iPods, ALIVE is the very first album that gets played.

I'm not a huge KISS fan, but I do agree that - for a KISS record - "Revenge" is pretty good.

I saw them on the Revenge tour (I was 12 or 13) and I must say it was quite an experience. They put on a good show, and the production was mind-blowing to me at the time... and probably still blows away most rock bands' shows these days.
