With todays market I'm suprised that the amp got that high price wise. I personally wouldn't pay that much for an amp but that is just my opinion. Good luck getting it fixed if you ever have a problem with it. I'm sure it sounds good.

I've never heard of anyone ever losing money on a Cameron. They've only ever gone up in value, and I see no reason why that won't continue. There were 3 independent bids in that auction at right around 5k, so obviously that's what the amp is worth. If there were some sign that CCV's were truly going to start shipping out like 1 a week, then maybe that value would drop some, but that's not happening. I suspect it would still be a good investment at 5k, which means it's also not a bad choice to hold onto it even with a 5k offer if you can afford to....

No hype, they are grerat sounding amps and well built.

The amount of money that the auction produced should tell you if you can get a new one

It's plain and simple to me. If you've owned this amp, own one, or have gotten to play through it and have a decent set of ears and understanding of guitar tone you'd know that this amp just kills.... There aren't many out there and it's obvious people will pay for them because of that. I've been offered big money for my ccv on several different occasions, i simply would never sell it because i know that if i did that i would regret it and have to chase that tone for probably the rest of my life or until i found another one which would be RARE!

So you have a sneaky feeling that Mike will start keeping peoples amps for years and not producing any more of his amps and that your Fortin Modded Marshall will be worth thousands of dollars? If this is true, I better send him a half dozen amps now and get him addicted to something after I get them back.

Well that is one business model that could be looked at

I dont think he will have the time for mods in the future, then again I bought 3comm back in 97 and took a hosing
