Just some tests...Nothin serious but at least you can hear a few different tones coming from the same amp!
Full Blown clips comming soon ;)

I am waiting for that recorder that Greazy George was talking about, I am also trying to borrow a guy's Editirol handheld. I really do suck micing with cubase.

what's the price range on his mods, say the Cali mod with the shipping? Does he also offer some custom type options?

anyone know where I could find a comprehensive list of the mods and more info about them/price?

Every clip in this thread sounds dope. I can't wait to get a Cali Modded 800. I would be set with that and my IIC+.

ah yeah, I figured, its more of curiosity than a sales inquiry, I didn't want to waste his time with some trivial questions. I can't afford to have an amp modded, otherwise I would! I have a old beat up '82 JCM 800 just asking to get modded

I really dig this. Cleans up with the guitars volume and roll it up for killer umph!!

Uh oh....... I LIKE it. Uh oh..........

The cool thing about this is that the 2 clips that I did are with the same exact amp that's in both videos. I think the tones are night and day apart which shows the versatility of the amp and there are still more sounds in that amp

The shipping is the bitch, from CT it cost me $160 but I had already played the amp and was positive I would not be disappointed plus I got a great deal on the SLP that I sent out.

 I know! This was the clip that really got me interested in the mod. Then I played one in person and was just as impressed. I think you will dig it.

btw I remember some of your Quickrod clips and really diggin' those too. ( I tink that was you  )

edit: just read in the "Cali sunshine' thread you do have a Quick Rod; so pretty sure those were your clips. They rocked.

Don't get me started on that...shipping has been the number one headache with this deal...

First, FedEx blows it by not having the correct customs info with the box which delays me 2 months because it screwed the window that Mike had for getting the amp back to me before I left for tour. Then, when I finally had a chance to ship the amp again, UPS calls when the amp gets to the border, demands a value of the amp and charges extra fees for various bullshit reasons...even though I own it and it is coming back to me.

When the FedEx thing happened the amp came back to me, and that was before Mike was emailing he customs forms. With the UPS deal I did print the forms that Mike sent me and they still fucking called me and argued about the value. Mike said it was probably one guy there that had a hard on for some reason or another. All I know is that it sucked.

The YouTube clip in my Sig is the Cali Mod.. Another example of how it can sound different when dialled in a certain way

There are so many tones in this mod its insane. But all with the simplicity of a single channel design with a few extra switches, so it really isn't tricky to dial it in.

Not to mention, very low noise floor, even at the highest gain settings, due to the DC Heaters and grounding

My fav amp i have had in a long time!
