I'll be skipping school tomorrow, if my friend can, so we can play co-op.

Think I'm going to grab an Xbox 360 Elite this week.
Will it work for sure with an HD TV with a DVI-D input?

Yuck, don't waste money on the Elite one.

why...its got the 120GB harddrive...noob! :P same 360 as the premium (which now has HDMI support). i would get a 120HD, problem is theyre 200 bucks on their own. so ill just use my 20 gig.

btw...i know ive told multiple people i wasnt interested in Halo and i probably wasnt going to get it...but damn i broke down and got me a copy. the campaign is hard, and fun. i might have to join some of the Rig-Talk gaming nights if youll have me...SocMonki is my GT if anyone wants to add me

I played the first hour of the campaign mode and wasn't very impressed. I hope it gets better. :(

Nossir, 't'wasn't me.

its Halo...thats about what i can say about it. feels a lot like the 1st one to me, similar settings (youll see if youve played Halo 1). it gets better so dont worry  so far ive been having a blast with it. some things i find annoying though...whenever i melee someone while dual wielding it DROPS MY 2ND WEAPON! WTF??? thats just dumb. another thing...at one point i was taking cover in a big box like thing...and a hunter popped his head through the box and i killed him by popping him in the face. youd think with this much development time they could have put a stop to enemies poking through solid objects...LOL

and i still hate the control scheme for vehicles...turn the camera and the vehicle turns. i wish they made the camera independent from that. oh well though.

still having fun however. capping those little Covenant while they yell "the Demon! Run Away!" is pretty funny

That about sums it up. It's Halo. They probably want us to think that we haven't seen this before but we have, but i still like it. It's nice to play Halo with these high quality graphics on our big ass HD tv's.

I read that someone beat it in 7 hours, but the guy claims he's an expert and normally it will take longer than that. I remember the first Halo being pretty long, but the Library level was annoying with the backtracking.

Right now I'm at the point where I'm driving the Warthogs around, i think the outdoor environments are KILLER, the indoor settings are...ok. So i hope there's a lot of variety in the outdoor settings. So far i like it, but I'm not so sure i like it better than Gears or Bioshock. I do expect COD4 to be better than Halo3 though.

yea i mean...how much can you change Halo? LOL it feels like the 1st one, with much better graphics and different environments. but its fun...i cant argue against that. however i still feel Bioshock is the better game.

7 hours? i think Warplanegrey at "the other board" claims to have beaten it in 5.5 on LEGENDARY. hard to believe, but he might be a Halo junkie. id rather take my time LOL

and COD4 will rule im sure...cant wait to see what they do with modern combat stuff :) im flying Hornets right now. kinda fun :)

Yeah, if one doesn't like Halo then the best graphics won't matter. I still dig it because i remember loving Halo when it first came out on the Xbox. But now when I'm playing Halo i wish i could use Electrobolt the shock anyone standing in water, or set some grunts on fire :D Bioshock is just soo different.

Mark, if you haven't played Bio, go rent it for a week. It's really easy on the normal difficulty but try fighting the Big Daddy's on medium, they're tough!

yea...add Plasmids in with Halo! think of the multiplayer! you wont ever want to be in the water

I just went over to a friend's house and he had it. It's got a few cool new things, but I felt like I'd already played the same game a million times.

The thing that really gets me is that the "forge" mode is the most interesting difference, but in the end, it's little more than a glaring example of M$'s boundless greed. "Look, we built in map editor functions, but we're not going to just give you a map editor! Then we couldn't take advantage of our legion of rabid fanboys by charging out the ass for a few crappy maps later on!"

Exactly. Why do you need 120GB for a video game console? And for $100 more?!?

Well i left off in the desert. I thought the game was ok but once i got to the Scarab tank, the flood, the big sentry gun, shit this game does kick some ass. The Mongoose is fucking awesome. SInce some say it's all been done, but when in Halo could you rip around on an ATV with a guy on the back shooting rockets at a 100 foot spider tank. And once the Flood showed up i was hooked.

You hate anything that doesn't say Sony on it.

Lol Sony is about my least favorite company, ever.

I hate anything that is a rip off. M$ is pretty much the king of ripping people off.

Seriously, are you going to argue that you SHOULD NOT get a map editor with that game? Ever noticed how basically ever single PC game, of any sort, has one, INCLUDING HALO 1 AND 2? If they released the Halo games for PC without map editors, they would fail miserably, and M$ knows it. But they "mysteriously" hold off the PC releases, until they have made sure they milked people dry on Xbox Live with crappy maps that they charge for.

And yet, the fanboys will go nuts over how "unique" the forge mode is.

I'm so tempted to pick up another Xbox 360, as there's a bunch of games coming out that I really want. Plus, I still have my Xbox Live Membership, so I could hop right into the online multiplayer with you fags

Time for me to get Halo 2 (not a misprint--no XBOX360 yet)!
