Egnater loop level gadget - signal level adapter
These were a small run hand-made by Bruce Egnater (Creator of Egnater amps & Synergy Amps and the design also licensed to randall MTS). It's mean so you can adjust the level to and from an effects peda so each one can get their optimum level regardless of input level or headroom.
Straight from Bruce Egnater:
The box has a high input impedance so it properly "loads" the effects send or preamp out. The send on the gadget is low impedance with a variable output level so you can match to virtually anything. The gadget return is high impedance and has a variable level to compensate for any send level adjustments/loss. The output from the gadget is low impedance to properly match any effects return or power amp input. The included wall wart/adapter is 18 volts DC for line level signals. Uses all 1/4" jacks (except for power). Has a little bypass switch on the side to A/B with/without the box. Not rocket science. Just a great tool to solve a long term issue. Virtually transparent so there is no change in tone or level, even when you switch the effect pedals in/out.
