This is a late 80's Mesa 2x12 Half-Back Extension Cabinet. They discontinued the metal grille and started using their modern grilles on these right around 1990. This is loaded with two Celestion/Mesa MC-90 Black Shadow Speakers. The one on the bottom is unlabeled, but shares the same manufacturers codes on the cone and speaker. The bottom is packed and ported. Sounds great with any kind of head through it whether it's high gain or clean. It also comes with a padded Lecover slip cover that's form fitted for it.
I played mostly my IIC+'s through it, but it easily hangs with any other modern amp. It's a fun 2x12 that I mostly use in my home studio, the slanted upper baffle angles the speaker at you perfectly. It weighs 66.8lbs.
I have it up higher for local dregs, but I'd like to sell it to anyone here on RT for $450.
I'm located in Basking Ridge, NJ. I commute to Pottstown, PA. Willing to meet up around/between.
Translation from the Catalogs:
TRADES?
I'm looking for a Marshall 4x12 that originally came with Greenbacks. I will add cash on my end, obviously.
Marshall 1960TV
Marshall 1960AX
Marshall 1960BX
Or I'd trade for a Boss DC-2W + Cash

"An extension cabinet with two 12-Speakers. The top and bottom of the cabinet are completely separated, and the upper tier has an open back for a spacious sound, while the lower tier has a tuned bass reflex with a closed back for a core sound. The combination of each sound is bright and punchy."
"90W Input Wide Range Speaker. The clear bright tone is perfect for crisp guitar sound with crisp attack."
