Have sadly come to grips that i will never play w/a full stack or 2 amps in stereo anymore.
Hated to let it go but time to let someone else enjoy.
Guess i'll buy a new Iphone with the money.
Still have another same cab & a 2x12 just in case LOL.

That one must sound incredible. I do think a 2x12 would do and admirable job of panning stereo time effects in a pinch.

I can play with one or two 4x12s and typically prefer a single 4x12. There’s just more bite to the guitar notes and I prefer the tone of the amp over the character of the speakers, where you get more of the latter with two cabinets over one. I do keep two cabinets around though! I’m thinking about loading my straight with celestion creamback H75s.

So your fist pic is a slant and the second pic is a straight. ?

I hear ya that it’s tough to sell. I’m down to five vintage Marshall 4x12’s these days. Three early 70’s and two late 70’s. I rarely use them, but figure if I want one they are difficult to find let alone finding one without beat up speakers. I’ve had all 20-30+ years. I rarely play my 67 Plexi either… but again, it’s nearly impossible to replace and nothing sounds like the real thing. Sure some clones can get close, but I’m not looking for “close”… ?

Yes, nothing sounds like the real deal vintage gear. As good as clones can sound, the real stuff is priceless (up to a point haha).
'72 Marshall slant w/original G12Ms, 79 with 65s, 83 B w/T75s, Mesa Trad slant and halfback with EV/C90s. And for the price of an SD1 a '68 Sound City B with GB/JBL for the EVH thing. Lol

I sold my 72 cab recently and it was tough. Thought I could just get by with a 2x12, but that only lasted a few weeks.
I found a beat up Marshall TV cab from the early 90’s and pounced on it. The early TV’s are the next best thing to vintage in my opinion.

Those will have the 6402 cones....I like those better than OG Blackbacks. Only the 74-76 Creambacks and Pulsonics sound better in my experience.

I have a slant just like that. I like the BBs, they immediately made me think VH1 when I played it next to my early 70s GB cab due to the extra sizzle on top. Not saying he used them or anything, they just instantly made me think that when I played it.

a new Iphone? Really?
Yeah, in a vacuum I'd much rather have the cab. But if I'm being practical and not really using the cab...my cellphone is now an integral part of my everyday life and good ones aren't cheap.

Tmobile is trying to extort me to buy a new phone. As part of their Sprint takeover Tmobile agreed to make no changes for the first 3 years. Its not even been a year & they're cutting off my service at the end of the year.
10 years never miss a payment/never late and thats how they reward me.
They ain't getting a dime from me.
I already bought an Iphone 12 mini from aanother company, it will be here tommorow.
As for the cab i had an angle & bottom 1978 Blackbacks.
I didn't really use the B cab and i could not transport both 4x12 cab s in my current SUV.
Id rather let someone else enjoy it and i got paid so im good with that.

Wish I could find a good 1960b with black backs for a decent price

Pretty sure that if your phone is paid for, you can request that sprint/unlock it. If it’s a newish iPhone, it may support CDMA and GSM making it work on the standard T-Mobile network after being unlocked. If not, it would at least be useable on Verizon, although T-Mobile is still cheapest

I went thru the same shit when US Cellular sold to Sprint years ago. Fuck Tmobile.
Its all about making people buy new phones, not the customer.

I wasn’t interrogating anyone. I know countless people that thought they had to buy new phones because they either didn’t know they could be unlocked or simply aren’t aware of what carriers use which technology. Not realizing you already “moved on”, I was simply trying share something insight that you may or may not known. No need to get defensive.

My old phone will look great after i drill some holes thru it.
