I hava da variants of both. Everyone hast stated true factoids. VHT generally dry, Soldano juicy. I will now add flagrantly personal observations from years of ownership.
The VHT is dry but not too much cause of the 34's in my CL I thinks. It is extremely versatile, I understand the D60, not so much. I find the inclusion of the eq in the VHT mandatory for max tweekage availability.
The HR50 is plug and rip! Do not bitch about the loop or you are tarded. What part of rack level did you not understand?!
VHT- what Marshalls will sound like in 2025. Blade runners will play them. Super high fi highwatt in a high gain time machine sound. I play blues with mine, ocassionally drop tune s bomb on my neighbors.
HR50- is a juicy ass steak. Notes leap off the board. Gamma ray infused, angry punchy Marshall tonage.
Watch for the sizzle, and riff away, play clean, no mistakes!
Back of the gain, crank the master and play Zepp. Sloppily.
Noe of this will help anyone.
Enjoy!
