Post up some videos or clips of a Soldano SLO doing some modern rock type stuff, are they a good amp for tight palm muting type riff's?

Thanks!!

This is all SLO with an SM57 into a Mesa 4x12 oversized Recto cab. Of course, I'm playing all of the guitars. It's the rough mix. I forgot the bass was in this mix. We do all of our own work. Guitars are a PRS Singlecut with stock pickups and a Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus with Suhr Aldrich pickups in both spots. We play modern rock.

Sounds great. What speakers.

Some great tones in the thread so far, but nothing that I'd consider modern metal tones.

It's just the stock V30's that are in a Recto 4x12.

GodDAMN m'man Dale... Some great toonage there

Thanks! We've been working on our EP for the past few months. We just canned our drummer earlier tonight, but he will be replaced by our good friend Steven Slate for the time being. Then, we will track the real drums. I'm the lone exception, as the other 3 guys left in the band can play the drums. LOL!

Damn that is badass !
Wonder what speakers were used with that clip.

That's not an SLO, it's another model from them forgot what it is.

All of his clips regardless of the amp have a certain signature production sound to them, just imo.

Sounded cool though...

Wonder why he shows a SLO in the vid though , that's misleading..
Well it sounds like my HR100+ amp with a detuned guitar after i listened to it again.
The HR100+ has more of a modern edge to it than the SLO , but the SLO can get mean as well if you set it up right.
I still think it sounds badass.

My experiences with playing an SLO is that the Low E folds (for palm mutes) just as the gain gets interesting on the lead channel. The A string will still give a good tight palm mute. This is using a Gibson's with medium output Hum's and I'm talking about the lead channel getting up to 4 and above on the preamp. I would rather just use it for leads and hit the crunch setting with a pedal to do rhythms. I love the crunch setting on that amp. Now what you could accomplish with a Bolt On guitar and different pickups or an EQ in front, I don't know.

Perfect description.
