Wet/dry setup using two Bogner cabs and a Bogner Shiva's power amp in using a EH Memory Man 1100-TT delay for the wet side. Guitar is a 59 Les Paul CC#24

This is a killer video! I've been waiting for a video like this to be done with these 2 KILLER amplifiers! It's such a difficult decision to pick a favorite, but I'm gonna have to say SLO still has my vote. I love mine so I may be a bit biased...but to me the SLO just sounds like it has just a bit more punch and rawness to it. Both are amazing amplifiers!!! Thank you for the video!! How fun was it doing this?? Hahaha

It was fun, very blessed to be able to own the amps I have. I found it recorded pretty accurately of how it sounded in the room. The SLO had more spank, openness and grit, the BE had more finesse and british karrang. Both really tight but SLO was thicker overall. I love both amps. I have the XTC 101B sitting behind me. I'll try to add it to the video here soon hopefully when I get some more times.

I don't wanna give you the same answer I did on YouTube, but, AMEN!!! Such great quality video! Very much how they both sounded in the video. SLO is a bit thicker and open & BE100 is more "British" in flavor! Again, Thank you so much!

Sounds great. What are the amp settings?

Both were pretty close to the same except gain. T-1:00, M-11:00, B-1:00 P-1:00, SLO gain 1:00, HBE gain 3:00 no options.

Awesome video! They both sound absolutely killer, and so does that guitar.

Yeah both sound great here... Friedman sounds a bit darker and I think I give the edge to the SLO for the raw grit but I could easily play both of these. I sometimes find the Friedmans compressed sounding but I am thinking this has been addressed and the newer ones have a bit more spank?

From what I read yes you're right, mines a 2014 and I'm kind of afraid to send it in and get it changed as I like the way it is now.

Great video! Thanks for sharing. I expected the difference to be larger. Very interesting.

I've watched this several times. Both just have solid tone. Can't go wrong with either and of course I love the SLO. Thanks for making this

Great sounding video!

I also have a Shiva and a couple of cubes. What are your settings on the Shiva when you use it as your only amp?

Thanks,
Tom

Thanks, I usually have my channel volume equal or higher than the master.

I am noticing most Shiva users prefer the master higher than the channel volume.

I will try that. My eq settings are similar to yours. I will also try the bright switch on.

Thanks

Btw, my Shiva is a 20th KT 88 model running through two Bogner cubes. I am using WGS 65 watt speakers. I also have had good results with Celestion CL 80's

I play mostly PAF style Humbuckers on LP's and other style guitars.

I have both the BE-100 and the SLO (see my avatar pic) and I love them both. The OP did a pretty damn good job capturing the general difference in tone between these two from what I can tell on what I am listening to the clip on.
