Just out of curiosity why are you slaving the SLO through a Shiva? Control the volume? Lack of the depth mod? To be able to use delay?

The SLO's loop is placed pre tone controls and is wired for +4db signals. I didn't have any rack or +4 delays at the time, so I was bypassing the loop by using the SLO's line out to delay. Either way using a line out always sounds bigger and fuller due to the spread and seperation by using a 2 cabs. Now i have a Strymon BigSky and Timeline which is capatible with the SLO.

Have you found the Strymons work really well with the SLO loop? I am considering purchasing either a Timeline or El Capistan.

Yes they work really well. Due to the design of the loop it's not totally transparent but it's much better.

Cool. Thanks for the info! I know the specs say the Strymons are +7dB and analog dry through so the dry doesn't go through ADA conversion. It seems like they should work well and make the best of the SLO loop, except the funky placement of the loop in the sognal path before the tone stack (of course no pedal or rack unit can help that). Now I just need to decide whether I want the Timeline or the El Capistan.
