Curious to see what people prefer. A clean boost in the fx loop for soloing or a good eq with boost like the empress para eq? Never tried either in a loop but have heard of people using both. I have and tried an echo plex type boost which compresses and colors things a bit and really changed the tone in my brown eye modded amp to much for my taste. Any pedal recommendations greatly appreciated as well.

I have used a bunch of things and my fave by far is the MXR CAE MC-401 Boost/Line Driver. I run it at 18v and it sounds huge and fantastic.

Thanks for the responses. Anyone ever tried the tone freak buff puff? Bit cheaper than the koko which looks really nice.

If all you need is a db boost for solo's, get a Seymour Duncan Pickup booster. Used they are $50 or less. It is what I use in the loop of my BE 100.

I have made the best experiences with the Visual Sound Volume Pedal. It's great in the loop of the BrownEye, super transparent and awesome for both, swells and/or rhythm cut/lead boost.

Our Iso Boost will work there as well but be careful on if your loop can handle the signal. Many times you are better off with a PAD (cut) instead of a boost in a loop. Really a Keyboard volume should give you complete control with the right loop

That's how I always did it when I used to use my loop for rhythm/lead control. Volume pedal in loop set at approx 75% in the heel down position...just push it forward for a lead volume boost and back again when you're done. Simple and effective.

So it has been confirmed that a boost would work well in the loop. I have a suhr iso boost on the way.

Tried the Suhr iso boost in the loop. Works great! Loop handles the boost just fine.

Hello Guy's I don't Own a BE-100 yet but Like to use boost on Loops and can tell you that Using a Empress paraEQ booster its your best option follow by the Koko boost..

I use a Boss FV-500 L volume pedal in the loop. Dave recommend this pedal to me.

Man, I tried several things in the loop and this definitely worked the best. Works great in front for a little punch.

They don't get a lot of love but that's one pedal I wish I had never gotten rid of. May have to pick up another. I was thinking I got the thing for like $30

I've always had great luck with just a Boss GE-7 in the loop of my amps. Simple and it does the job quite well!

I am looking for a loop solo and mid boost too, and the Koko Reloaded sounds awesome, and other good ones are the Xotic EP, MI Audio Boost n Buff with mid boost, and Tonebone Elevator.

Question. when you use either a boost or volume pedal on the loop does that kill the ability to use say a delay in the loop at the same time? Maybe Dave can tell us for sure.
